Our Story
Highschool Sweethearts
Back in 2010, we were both students at Idyllwild Arts Academy, a performing arts boarding school perched on a mountain in the middle of nowhere, California. She was a wild Musical Theater major from Thailand, and he was a serious Jazz major from Mexico.
In true opposites-attract fashion, we found each other and fell madly in love. We even went to prom together, dancing the night away like it was straight out of a movie. But just a few months later, Teirra graduated and moved away, and we had to go our separate ways.
Reunited Years Later
Fast forward a few years, and fate brought us back together on the bustling streets of New York City. Our love story picked up right where we left off! We chased each other through cities and countries, dreaming of a life we wanted to build together.
Along the way, we even started a travel YouTube channel inspired by all the creative (and thrifty) ways we reunited around the world. After a couple of years of long-distance love, we finally put down roots in Thailand.
Since then, we’ve traveled to 15 countries together—Costa Rica, France, Vietnam, Brazil, and India, to name a few. We also launched a company and welcomed two beautiful (and wild) dogs into our lives.
On September 9th, 2023, Iñigo surprised Teirra with a trip to Northern Thailand. At the crack of dawn, he dragged her out of bed for a sunrise hike. As the sun rose, he got down on one knee and asked her to marry him. After a few minutes of uncontrollable crying, she said yes! That evening, some of our closest friends joined us to celebrate one of the most magical days of our lives—a day that marks a new chapter in our journey.
We’ve made incredible friends and created countless unforgettable memories along the way, but this is just the beginning. We’re so excited for the next step in our story and can’t wait to celebrate it with the people who mean the most to us!
